You can go straight to a C+E licence from a car from November 2021. You will need a full UK car licence and the C+E provisional entitlement on your licence to start training. Apply to the DVLA, and complete the D2 licence application and the D4 medical forms. When your licence comes back you can start training for your C+E licence.

A Cat C+E licence will allow you to drive an articulated vehicle over 7.5 tonnes or a drawbar combination. As of November 2021, you can go directly from a Car (B) to C+E. You will need to complete the D2 licence application form and D4 medical form from the DVLA to get the provisional entitlement to start training.
