Category C1  -  3.5 ton - 7.5 ton  -  Age 18 If you are over 18 years and under 21 years of age and wish to drive a vehicle/lorry up to 7.5 tonnes, you will need this category of licence. The test and course are exactly the same as for the 'C' Category so if you are over 21 years consideration should be given to taking the full 'C' lorry course as it will give you a far better category on your licence when you've passed.
